A sheltered gulf, hills planted with vines and olive trees, and just behind them the Agriates desert with its roadless beaches.
Saint-Florent
The village is built around its harbour and citadel. Demand is constant and supply restricted: the commune is hemmed in between the sea, the vineyards of Patrimonio and the protected land of the Agriates.
The sought-after properties are those overlooking the gulf, at La Roya or on the heights of Cavallata, together with the older houses of the centre.
The Nebbio
Behind Saint-Florent begins a quieter countryside: Patrimonio and its vineyards, Oletta, Poggio-d'Oletta, Murato and its Romanesque church. Here one buys stone houses, restored sheepfolds and land with a view over the gulf.
Prices remain more measured than on the shore, in a setting that is often more intact.
The Agriates
Saleccia, Lotu, Malfalcu: beaches reached only by boat or track. The land is very largely protected, which explains the value of the few properties near its edges.
An area where the scarcity of land dictates everything else.
